“The Time Keeper” is a modern interpretation of the Emperor tarot card, featuring R. Laucher Watch Repair shop on Battersea Park Road as its focal point, meticulously preserved by John since 1954, offering a glimpse into the past with vintage cabinets, clocks, and books. The clocks within this artwork predominantly feature the repetitive times of 3, 6 and 9 pointing to ‘Numerology Messages,’ symbolising the power of communication through numbers.
Completed after 10 months of intricate work, this piece is part of ‘The Tarot of Southwest London’ collection, aiming to capture the essence of the Wandsworth community through the lens of the tarot in a unique heritage project.
