Description
“The Soulmates” is a beautiful true story and a modern interpretation of the Lovers Tarot Card, portraying Jim’s ritual of toasting his late wife, Ann, at the Asparagus pub on Falcon Road. The words ‘My Girl’ are written on table menu, a nod to the song Jim played at his wife’s funeral. A feather on the ground represents a visitation from the other side, as the translucent apparition of Ann sits opposite her husband, symbolising that even death couldn’t stop them from loving one another.
This piece forms part of ‘The Tarot of Southwest London’ collection, and captures the essence of the Wandsworth community through a heartfelt story. A romantic addition to any space.
