About the Artist

Lisa Goldheart (b.1983) is a self-taught artist from South West London. Her work is heavily inspired by her appreciation for tarot cards. Not just because they have been used as a divination tool for centuries, but also because she views them as an art form within their own right. Lisa’s work holds historical significance as she utilises her art practice to document and tell the stories of others, aiming to capture the essence of the time and era in which we live today. Her work is distinctively unique and original due to her fresh approach and vision for using art to showcase and highlight a variety of diverse subject matters, conveyed through both painted mediums and videography.

Artist Statement

Growing up in Battersea, located in Southwest London, I have cultivated a profound affection for my hometown and the tight-knit community within it. Engaging with the locals and hearing their captivating stories brings me immense joy.

In my art studio, the tarot serves as a wellspring of inspiration for me, but it is the art of storytelling that truly drives my creative endeavours. My ultimate goal is to support and uplift as many individuals as possible, utilising my platform to shed light on the daily experiences, challenges, and wisdom of real people.

Wandsworth holds a special place in my heart, and it is the vibrant people that populate this area who make it truly exceptional. Through my work, I aim to craft narratives that resonate with others through the lens of Tarot.
